A Moravian pastor from Scotland, John Montgomery, was living in Sheffield, England when we wrote the Christmas Poem for the newspaper which was later set to music and first sung on Christmas Day in 1821. "Angels from the Realms of Glory" is still a well-loved Christmas song today.

Love consists in this; not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Last night went with neighbors to hear the Southwest Florida 64 Symphony called Holiday Pops. Featured singer weas Mary Bichner from Boston and Andrew Lipke, the conductor, who played all the old Christmas Favorites and included a sing along of favorite Christmas Hymns. A surprise was a Christmas song he wrote and sung and will likely become a favorite in years to come! Talented group. Local. Support them. More concerts coming up Jan 17, Jan. 31 and Feb. 15 all at the Charlotte Performing Arts Center on Carmelita Street in Punta Gorda at the High School complex.
